3D Modelling of Custom part for CNC Machining.

Custom part drawing and detailing

The initial part was manufactured using sand casting method which was time consuming and number of operations were more. So wew modified the part to manufacture using lathe and VMC and the no of operations were reduced and production rate increased by 20%

Shaft Design for Manufacturing

As per ASME Standards

Design of shaft for power transmission as per ASME standards. 

The design was modified as per the manufacturing process i.e CNC machining and the thread profiles were modified for better mating.

Assembly Drawings

As per considerations of DFM

Assembly Drawing of Crankshaft in Solidworks. The Keyway design is done considering the ASME standard. Standardization was considered while designing the parts for easy dismentalling and ease of availability in case of maintenance.

Fabrication Drawings of Trolley

Design procedure we follow

The client requested an trolley fabrication drawings, their main concern was the trolley should not exceed 3200 mm length(including handles), 1150 mm width and 850 mm ht including wheels Ht. The dynamic weight carrying capacity should be 90 kgs, so we selected heavy duty castor wheels from samart catalogue with adequate weight carrying capacity. Initially we produced an hand sketched drawings of the trolley while discussiong the requirements and furthur produced the Fabrication Drawings.

Design of Door Mount

The client had a reference image and wanted an similar Door mount with an dimensional constraint of 250x120 mm and 5mm Thk.

The iniial layout was outsourced by laser cutting due to complex geometry. Furthur it was welded and painted using in house machineries of client. We provided Dxf file format for laser cutting.

Single Stage Reduction Gearbox

Gearbox with Reduction ratio 15

The output speed required was 96 rpm on regular running. So designed the Gearbox with reduction ratio of 15. Gearbox housing is been manufactured with sand casting and then furthur machining process is done via CNC machining.

3D render images provided to the client for thier presentations and website. Rendering helps in actual visualization of the product .
